Katherine 'Kate' Kincade

Katherine "Kate" Kincade, 56, of Big Spring died Friday, July 20, 2012, at her residence. The family will receive friends from 6:30 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2012, at the funeral home.

She was born Dec. 20, 1955, in Lamoni, Iowa, and married Luis Kincade on March 17, 1990, in Socorro, N.M.

Kate moved to Socorro, N.M., in 1986 from Lamoni, Iowa, and then to Big Spring in 1996.

Survivors include her husband, Luis Kincade of Big Spring; one daughter, Mary Elizabeth Kincade of Odessa; one brother; and one sister.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne Sankee Smith and Maude Branum Smith; and one brother, Pete Smith.

The family suggests memorials be made to Dora Roberts Scholarship Fund in care of Howard College, 1001 Birdwell Lane, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
