Kenneth Gale Pruitt, 74, of Big Spring died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012, in a Midland hospital. There will be no formal service at this time, but the family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2012, at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 24, 1937, in Big Spring, Texas, and graduated from Knott High School in May of 1957. Kenneth worked in oil related jobs most of his life in Oklahoma, New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Hattie Guffee Owens; his sister, Carolyn Sue Owens; and his grandparents, Guy and Sadie Guffee.
He is survived by two sons, Wayne Pruitt and wife Karen of Big Spring and Lester Pruitt and wife Connie of Virginia; a daughter, Kimberly Pruitt of Lubbock; two granddaughters; and many cousins and friends.
