KiAna Ra’Nae Vanderbilt

KiAna Ra’Nae Vanderbilt, 7, of Coahoma, died Saturday March 22, 2014. Vigil services will be 7 p.m. Friday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Big Spring with burial following at Trinity Memorial Park.

KiAna was born July 29, 2006, in Big Spring. She was in the second grade at Coahoma Elementary. She was active in her Girl Scout troop. She loved going to the water park, drawing and art. She loved to play softball like her Uncle Bubba.

She is survived by her mother, Krystal Woodruff, and step-father, Curtis, of Coahoma; her father, Jarron Vanderbilt of Big Spring; sisters, Mahlaya Woodruff of Coahoma, Araceli Vanderbilt of Big Spring and Ja’lisa Vanderbilt of Big Spring; brothers, Keno Woodruff of Coahoma, Jarron Vanderbilt Jr. of Big Spring and Draven Vanderbilt of Big Spring; grandparents, George Herrera and wife, Oliva, of Lorainne, Traci Vanderbilt Duff of North Carolina, and Terrell Duff of North Carolina; great-grandparents, Gwendolyn Vanderbilt of Big Spring, Carmen Herrera of Coahoma and Claudio and Louisa Lopez of Sand Springs; her aunt, Kimberly Ybarra and husband Matt; and several other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Those serving as pallbearers will be Blake Ramirez, Isaiah Villareal, Chico Alejos and Tyree Williams. Honorary Pallbearers will be Girl Scout Troop No. 321.

She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Diane Herrera, and uncle, Anthony “Ant” Herrera, who died in the same accident. Arrangements are by Myers & Smith Funeral Home and Chapel. Please pay your respects online at www.myersandsmith.com
