COLORADO CITY — Curtis Potter and Justin Trevino will join Shady Mitchell and the Kickin’ Kountry Band to headline tonight’s performance of the C City Opry Show.

“We do a country music show at the Colorado City Opera House loosely based on the old Hee Haw show,” said Debby Mitchell, assistant manager. “We put a little comedy in, recruit local talent and from time to time bring in older country stars.

“In the past we have had Hank Thompson, Tony Booth, Ferlin Husky, Leona Williams, Claude Gray, Virgil Gibson (The Platters), Frenchie Burk, Georgette Jones and Jody Nix, just to name a few,” Mitchell continued.
Also joining the C-City Opry cast are former fiddler Brian Fowler from Snyder for a return performance.
Doors will open for the performance at 6 p.m. at the historic Opera House, 337 Walnut Street. The show begins at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10. Call 325-737-2163 to reserve a ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the door.
