Kid's Klub signups take off at Hangar 25

June 12, 2013

How about sending your kids to boot camp this summer?
Hangar 25 Air Museum will be holding a Bombardier Boot Camp July 8-12 for children age 6 through 12. The World War II-themed Kid's Klub event will be both educational and entertaining.
“It is going to be a wonderful opportunity for children to learn and have fun at the same time,” said Genevieve Stockburger, museum administrator. “It will be like a summer camp in that children will learn about planes used in World War II along with survival tips and they will participate in various activities and games and make some cool crafts.”
The camp will run from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday, July 12. That Friday will also be family day, where mom and dad can eat lunch with their child at the museum.
Kid's Klub has been a popular summer activity put on by Hangar 25 since 2006, at least, said Stockburger.
“It fills up quickly and we only have 25 spots, so parents need to get their kids registered quickly. It fills up every year,” she noted.
Registration is free but must be made before 5 p.m. June 28. Forms may be obtained from Hangar 25 Air Museum.
For more information, email the museum at hangar25@crcom.net, or give them a call 432-264-1999.
