Lady Hawks end slump in OT

February 14, 2014

Sarah Stinnett has rebounded plenty of basketballs during the season for the Howard College Lady Hawks. None, however, were quite as important as the one she grabbed with 1:19 left in overtime on Thursday night in front of a large crowd in the Dorothy Garrett Coliseum.
With the game tied at 54-54 in overtime, Stinnett pulled are bound out of the air and raced to the other end of the floor before dishing the ball to freshman Bailey Wipff, who was immediately fouled.
Wipff turned the rebound and foul into a pair of free throws and, even more importantly, a wild 57-54 come-from-behind victory over Frank Phillips College.
