Lady Hawks receive recognition

The Lady Hawk softball team returned from the NJCAA Division I Softball Tournament in Utah as the fifth place team in the nation, the final Texas team in the tournament, and landed 3 players on the All-Tournament Team.
After losing to the would-be champion team, Butler, the Hawks fought their way back to the fifth place spot thanks to their “never-quit” mantra that led them to the tournament.
“It was a total team effort each and every game,” said Kelly Raines, Hawk softball head coach. “We knew what we had to do and as a team we stepped on the field and got the job done. I’m very proud of this team and how much they’ve grown from the beginning of the year until now.”
