Lanell Morris, 77, of Big Spring died Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with Dr. Doug Shelley, pastor of East Side Baptist Church, officiating.

She was born Feb. 8, 1935, in DeLeon, Texas, to Billie and Junior Files. She moved from Houston four years ago to Big Spring. She had worked at H.E.B. and the Lexington Hotel, both in Houston. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by one daughter, Kim Hargrove and husband Sackie of Big Spring; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
