Laura Moore and Donnie Barber, both of Big Spring were wed at 4:30 p.m., June 15, 2013, at Prairie View Baptist Church in Big Spring.
A reception followed in the fellowship hall of Prairie View Baptist Church.
The bride is the daughter of Johnny and Debbie Moore of Big Spring, Texas and the granddaughter of John and Melba Webb of Stanton and the late Don and Shirley Brashears. Laura is a third grade teacher at Washington Elementary, Big Spring ISD.
The groom is the son of Wayne and Brenda Barber of Greenwood, Texas and the grandson of the late Billy and Bennie Barber of Big Spring and the late Harold and Lola Graves of Stanton, Texas. Donnie is an engineer for Union Pacific Railroad.
The couple was married by the bride's uncle Don Moore of Lubbock, Texas. The ceremony included two Bible verses that are dear to the couple's heart; â€śBe joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is Godâ€™s will for you in Christ Jesus,â€ť 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 and â€śFor I know the plans I have for you,â€ť declares the Lord. â€śPlans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,â€ť Jeremiah 29:11.
The bride's brother, Jonathan Moore sang and played his guitar while the unity candle was being lit.
Most of all, the couple was surrounded by their loving friends and family to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter and life together.
The couple will make their home in Big Spring and will continue to serve the Lord. The couple spent their honeymoon at Disney World and Caribbean Beach Resort, Orlando, FL.
