Leadership deadline extended

The Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce has extended its deadline for applications for the Big Spring Leadership program, set to begin Sept. 12 at the Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce.
“We still have space available and we would like to have anyone join us who can,” said Debbye ValVerde, chamber executive director.
Deadline for applications to be turned is now 3 p.m. Sept, 5.
This program is designed to increase leadership skills and learn more about the community. We are anticipating another successful year.
“Employers, If you have new employees or administration personnel new to the community, this would be a good program for them to learn more about Big Spring and Howard County and get involved,” said ValVerde.
Applicants must we willing to commit to one full day (the second Thursday) each month for nine months. Those who have demonstrated management and/or leadership ability, have shown an interest in community affairs and have time and talent to offer the community, are invited to apply.
Tuition fee is $400 for Chamber members in good standing and $600 for non-members. Tuition includes transportation for tours, meals, leadership skills and information.
Applications are available at the Chamber Office and can be faxed or e-mailed to you. The program is limited to 25 participants. For more information, contact Debbye or Nancy at the Chamber office, 263-7641.
