Levi Pearson, 80, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at his residence. The family will receive friends from 8 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 6, 2012, at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. Craig Felty officiating.

He was born Oct. 18, 1931, in Stanton to Maudie and Claude Pearson. He lived most of his life in Big Spring. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army.

He married Betty Lou Rohus March 31, 1982, in Lovington, N.M. He was a welder in the oilfield and in recent years he and his wife owned D & R Casing Services. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church, and served many years as a Pentecostal Minister.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Lou Pearson of Big Spring; six daughters, Dona Lee, Sheila Palmer and her husband Tom, Sharon Pearson, Sandra Hayman and her husband Jimmy, Rhonda Paredez and her husband Ismael, and Pamela Harris and her husband James; three sons, Bobby Pearson and his wife Teri, Don Pearson and his wife Lisa, and Timothy Pearson and his wife Kendra; three step-sons, John Wesley Martin and his wife Karen, David Altom and his wife Michelle, and Rodney Martin; and a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
