Lillian Inez Brantley, of Stanton, Texas, died Oct. 3, 2013, in a Bronte, Texas nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 7, 2013, at the Evergreen Cemetery Chapel in Stanton, Texas.
She was born Sept. 23, 1924, in Wills Point and attended school in Holliday, Texas, where she participated in sports and many activities.
Lillian married Harold Brantley of Woodson, May 27, 1944, in Holliday and raised her two children in Holliday, Odessa, Texas and Stanton. She was an active member of the Church of Christ.
Lillian was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; one son, Dennis Allen Brantley; two sisters, Laverne Reed of Monahans, Texas and Nita Loyd of Holliday; and her parents, Lee Wannamaker and Edna Allen of Holliday.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sherry (Boone) Brantley of Blackwell Oak Creek Lake, Texas; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The family would like to offer heartfelt thanks to the staff and caretakers of Bronte Nursing and Rehabilitation in Bronte for their loving care and compassion.
