Lillie Mae Anderson, 77, of Big Spring died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. Derek Looney, pastor of Spring Creek Fellowship, officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

Lillie was born Nov. 24, 1935, to Eva and Ezra Owen in Hot Springs, Ark. She married Robert Dee Anderson on Sept. 4, 1953, in Hot Springs, Ark. Following their marriage, they relocated to Big Spring.

Lillie was very active in her children’s and grandchildren’s activities. She loved to fish, cook, entertain and “liked to give advice.” She was a dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, friend to all and a homemaker. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by one daughter, Paula Cowley of Dumas; two sons, Andy Anderson of Sand Springs and Sammy and Le Jean Anderson of Big Spring; 13 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Monroe Owen of Atlanta, Ga.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Justin David Anderson; a sister, Linda Maner; and a brother, Marvin Owen.

Pallbearers will be Chris Carlile, Dusty Carlile, Jason Bontke, Jason Anderson and Kason Anderson. Honorary pallbearer will be Brandon Anderson.
