Local Relay For Life recognized among best

March 10, 2011

A reminder that Howard-Glasscock Relay For Life is only two months away came at a recent meeting when Co-chair Vicki Stewart unfurled banners announcing that the 2010 Relay was the top community per capita for the 2010 High Plains Division and placed in the top 10 nationwide per capita among relays.

Relay volunteers are proud to say that to garner such accolades with an event that was rained out and rescheduled indoors months later is “incredible.” In addition to the community awards,

Genia Phillips, banking chair of the local relay committee, accepted a plaque recognizing her as the Top Adult Fund Raiser of 2010, for collecting more than $3,000.
