Lois Dean Crawford

Lois Dean Crawford, 80, of Las Cruces, N.M., died Sunday Dec. 29, 2013, at Park View Nursing & Rehab Center. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel, with Lloyd Wells and Edward Wilbourn officiating. Graveside services will be at 2:30 pm. at The Gail Cemetery, Gail, Texas.

She was born Oct. 3, 1933, in Vernon, Texas to Birdie and John Wilbourn. She lived in Big Spring many years ago, retuning here a month ago from Las Cruces, N.M. She was a homemaker and also worked at TG&Y, Runnels Junior High Cafeteria and factories. She enjoyed flea markets and garage sales, sewing quilting, collecting cookie jars, salt and pepper shakers, and John Wayne movies. She was a Christian.

She is survived by five sons, David Crawford and his wife, Maxine of New Mexico, Stan Crawford and his wife, Lynn of Big Spring, and Danny Crawford, Russell Crawford and Jack Crawford, all of New Mexico; three daughters, Shirley Crawford of New Jersey, Loretta Kissel of Washington and Veta Harris of Big Spring; four sisters, Pearl Wells and her husband Carl, of Big Spring, Lola Dale of Oklahoma, Dorothy Pearce of Canada, and Annie Mae Wilbourn of Big Spring; three brothers, Edward Wilbourn and his wife, Cathy of Arkansas, Jack Wilbourn and his wife Pat of Midland, and Mearle Wilbourn and his wife Barbara of Clyde; 20 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Tabor Crawford; a son, Kenneth Tabor Crawford; a sister, Mary Lefern Pierce; and three brothers, Elvin Wilbourn, J. I. (Tex) Wilbourn and James Wilbourn.
