Lou Hatfield, 85 of Borger died July 2, 2014, in Borger. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday July 5, at Faith Covenant Church with Pastor Les Sharp officiating. Burial will be at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at the funeral home.

Lou was born Nov. 26, 1928, in Weinert, Texas, to James and Willie Rainey Swailes. She was a medical clerk at Malone-Hogan Hospital in Big Spring, Texas, for 10 years. She was a member of Saint Paul United Methodist Church in Amarillo. She was active in church conferences where she was a delegate for West Texas Methodist.
Lou was preceded in death by her parents, husband Theodore Hatfield and a sister, Wanda Bibby.

Lou is survived by her sons, Richard of Amarillo, Rand and wife Becky of Borger and Larry and wife Shelah of Nevada; seven grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to Boys Ranch.
