Lucille E. Barton

Lucille E. Barton, 94, of Artesia, N.M., formerly of Forsan, died Friday, Sept. 30, 2011, in Artesia, N.M. Graveside memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at Trinity Memorial Park, with Kenneth Garcia of 11th and Birdwell Lane Church of Christ officiating.

She was born Jan. 27, 1917, in Lloyd, Texas, and married Arthur David Barton on Jan. 13, 1940 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death on Jan. 20, 2005.

Lucille was a member of Birdwell Lane Church of Christ and a former member of the Forsan School Board. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Van and Allison Barton of Artesia, N.M.; one brother, Myron Russell "Rusty" Wilson of Washington; and four grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by a son, David Ray Barton; her parents, Benny Ray and Dora (Russell) Wilson; a brother, Cleo Clifton Wilson and two sisters, Imogene Margaret Wilson and Lovera R. Milligan.
