Ludin A. DeHoyos, 66, of Big Spring, died Thursday, Nov. 28, 2013 at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Memorial Park.

She was born May 2, 1947 in Mercedes, Texas to Antolina (Ramirez) and Pablo Alaniz. She married Severino DeHoyos Jr. on Aug. 2, 1965, in Lubbock, Texas. He preceded her in death March 15, 2004. She came to Big Spring in 2000 from Kansas. She was a homemaker and seamstress. She was a member of Lighthouse Restoration Center.

She is survived by three daughters, Maria Norma DeHoyos of Big Spring, Norma Lee Gomez of Skidmore and Ester Gomez of Big Spring; four sons, Richard DeHoyos of Goodland, Kan., J.R. DeHoyos of Rio Grande City and Victor DeHoyos and Pablo DeHoyos, both of Big Spring; five brothers, Manuel Alaniz of Mercedes, Pablo Alaniz of Lamesa, Alfredo Alaniz of Michigan, Armando Alaniz of Big Spring and Adolfo Alaniz of Lamesa; one sister, Maria Salazar of Temple; and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Raquel DeHoyos and Felicita Garcia, one son, Bobby Valentine, and two sisters, Janie Alaniz and Sylvia Soto.
