Luella Groth Arnold

Luella Groth Arnold passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, in Midland, Texas. She was born to Wesley Charles Groth and Emma Antonia Walters Groth on March 6, 1918, in Waco, Texas. Luella attended Waco High School and Dallas Business School.
She married Edwin F. Arnold on Aug. 10, 1946, in Dallas, Texas. She worked as a bookkeeper for several years in Dallas. Luella was a loving wife and mother. From earliest childhood, Luella loved the Lord. She gave her heart to Christ at age 10 and had a strong faith all of her life. Luella loved art, family, putting puzzles together and canning.
Luella was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; her sisters, Annette Warren, Lillums Braswell, Edna Gaeke, Esther Groth and Agnes Morris; and her brothers, Carl Groth, Herman Groth and Ervin Groth.
Luella is survived by her son, Charles F. Arnold; her sister, Alyda Shiplett of Waco, Texas; and her brother, Glenn Groth of Austin, Texas.
Memorials in Luella’s name may be made to Hospice of Midland, 901 W. Texas Ave., Midland, Texas 79701; or to Alzheimer’s Research.
Visitation will be held Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. at Ellis Funeral Home. Services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at 10 a.m. in the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park North. Condolences may be made at www.ellisfunerals.com
