Lupe Aleman "Chita" Fierro, 91, of Barstow, formerly of Big Spring, Texas, died Monday, May 12, 2014, in a Pecos nursing home. Vigil services will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 14, 2014, at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 15, 2014, at Holy Trinity Catholic Parish. Interment will follow at Mt. Olive Memorial Park.

She was born April 6, 1923, in Big Spring and married Frank Fierro Sr. He preceded her in death April 27, 1970. She loved to garden and cook.

Survivors include two daughters, Sylvia Ormon of Irving and Sandra Muniz and husband, Adolfo of Barstow; four grandchildren, Marlina Fierro Reese, Shannon Ormon, Dana Fierro Rieland and Tommy Ormon Jr.; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Fidencio and Lupe Garcia Aleman; and two sons, Ismael Valdez Jr. and Frank Fierro Jr.
