Lydia Del Bosque Arguello, 84, of Big Spring died Sunday, June 9, 2013, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Vigil Services will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with Msgr. Bernard L. Gully and Deacon Johnny Arguello officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Stanton.
Lydia was born Aug. 3, 1928, in Rivera, Texas, to Micaela and Rosendo Del Bosque. She married Juan C. Arguello Jr. on Nov. 27, 1950, in Stanton. She was a homemaker, worked on the farm, and did housework. She also worked at the Bauer Elementary cafeteria. She was the past president and life member of Bauer Elementary P.T.A. She was a lifetime resident of Martin and Howard Counties and was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
Lydia is survived by her husband, Juan C. Arguello Jr. of Big Spring; two sons, Johnny Arguello and his wife Connie, and David Arguello and his wife Mary, all of Big Spring; two daughters, Anne McCombs of San Antonio and Sylvia Jones and her husband Robert of McKinney; four brothers, Gilbert Del Bosque and R.N. Del Bosque, both of Odessa, Julio Del Bosque of Kingsville, and Reynaldo Del Bosque of Big Spring; 24 grandchildren; 44 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Guadalupe and Joe Eloy Arguello; and four brothers, Bartelo Del Bosque, Jose Maria Del Bosque, Beto Del Bosque and Robert Del Bosque.
