Madrid Luene Anderson Robinson

Madrid Luene Anderson Robinson, 92, formerly of Big Spring died Thursday, May 02, 2013, at Brian Center of Statesville, N.C.

She was born Nov. 12, 1920, in Slaton, Lubbock County, Texas, and was the daughter of William Jesse and Dolly Mae Barnett Anderson. Before relocating to Statesville in 1996, she was a long-time resident of Big Spring, Texas, where she was a legal secretary for 33 years for the John A. Coffee firm and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Henry Robinson, whom she married on April 8, 1939; and a son, Floyd Neil Robinson of Houston.

Luene is survived by her daughter, Dorothy “Dottie” Westmoreland of Statesville; a daughter-in-law, Dolly Schacter of Houston, Texas; a granddaughter,; two grandsons; three great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Services and interment will be held at a later date at Trinity Memorial Park in Big Spring.
