The final legal hurdle to be cleared before Malone and Hogan Clinic falls under new management is expected to be taken Tuesday when the Big Spring City Council meets at 5:30 p.m. in council chambers at 307 E. Fourth.
Council is expected to approve an amendment to the Economic Development Corporation’s budget, which would clear the way for the city to sell the clinic building to Texas Healthcare Holdings II, LLC, a subsidiary of Greystone Brokerage and Development, which is expected to spend millions of dollars renovating the building adjacent to Scenic Mountain Medical Center.
Greystone President Ken Birdsong said the company plans to spend more than $4 million renovating the clinic building. Renovation should begin within the next 45 days and take between nine and 10 months, he added.
