Mamie Lee Perrin Roten, 86, of Stanton died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2011, in a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Harp, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 24, 2011, at the funeral home.

She was born Feb. 14, 1925, in Red River County, Texas, and married Robert Louis Roten on Aug. 7, 1942, in Clarksville, Texas.

Mamie came to Stanton in 1942 and was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi for more than 60 years. She taught Sunday School for many years at First Baptist Church and served the Martin County Hospital as an administrator from 1967 to 1984. She was a member of First Baptist Church Stanton.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Louis Roten of Stanton; two sons, Rodney Roten of Midland and Robert Roten of San Marcus; one daughter, Rhonda Gilliland of Midland; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mamie was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Thomas J. Perrin Jr., Melvin Belcher and Lawrence Belcher; a sister, Mary Virginia King; and three nephews.

The family suggests memorials be made to First Baptist Church Library, P.O. Box 1168, Stanton, Texas 79782; or Martin County Senior Citizen Center, P.O. Box 1233, Stanton, Texas 79782.
