Margaret Easter

Margaret Easter, 92, of Big Spring, died Friday, April 18, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born April 14, 1922, to Catherine and Ray Menges Sr. in Fort Scott, Kan. She married William “Bill” Green in Kansas. He preceded her in death. She was a longtime resident of Big Spring, coming from Reno, Nev. after marrying her second husband, Charlie Easter. She was a housewife and mother of six boys and avid Jeopardy fan. She was a longtime member of the Eagles Lodge and attended church services at the Salvation Army.

She is survived by four sons, Tommy Green of Big Spring, Billy Green of Michigan, Paul Green of Chester, Va. and Jack Green of Reno, Nev.; one brother, Ray Menges Jr. and wife Olnee of Big Spring; one sister, Betty Daratt of Big Spring; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and both husbands, she was preceded in death by two sons, David Green and Jeff Green.
