Marianne Frances (Sparby) Garmaker

Marianne Frances (Sparby) Garmaker, age 69, of Big Spring, Texas, formerly of Coon Rapids, Hibbing and Beardsley, Minn., died peacefully in her sleep on Feb. 23, 2014. Marianne was born Dec. 18, 1944, in Litchfield, Minn. She spent most of her life in Minnesota. She was a Methodist and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Before her retirement, she worked as a caretaker and aide for disabled and handicapped homes.

She is survived by her loving life partner, Roger Andrews of Big Spring; a son, Kraig and his wife, Jeanette, Garmaker; daughters, Dawn and her husband, Obie McClary, and Deanne and her husband, Jim McCullough; sisters, Marilyn and her husband, Dennis Stotesbery, and Marlene and her husband, David Alberts; brothers, Doug and his wife, Vaunee Sparby, Charles and his wife, Dawn Sparby; grandchildren, Clinton, Clifton, Clayton, Clarkston, Christian, Kalvin, Hunter and Colton; and many loving relatives and friends. She will be missed by all those who she touched and loved.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Esperance Sparby; and one brother, Arlyn Sparby.
