Marianne Turner

Marianne Turner, 86, of Big Spring, died Sunday in a local nursing home. Private family funeral services will be held at a later date.

She was born Dec. 31, 1926, in Germany and married James Richard Turner July 19, 1949, in Dallas. He preceded her in death July 11, 1998.

She worked as a LVN at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Kerrville for 20 years. She was a Methodist, enjoyed reading, walking and gardening.

Survivors include one son, Jim Turner of Centerpoint; five grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren,
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Alma Voland Teubner; one daughter, Mary Jane Melton; and one brother, Jerry Teubner.

The family suggests memorials to the Salvation Army, 511 W. 5th St., Big Spring, Texas 79720.
