Marijo Walker

Marijo Walker, 72, of Big Spring died Thursday, Aug. 22, 2013, in a Midland hospital. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Calvary Callender officiating. Entombment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2013, at the funeral home.
Marijo was born June 25, 1941, in Big Spring, Texas, and married Howard Walker on Nov. 25, 1959, in Big Spring. They became the owners of the Big Spring Harley Davidson Shop, which she inherited from her parents who opened it in 1929.
She was a member of First Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include her husband, Howard Walker of Big Spring; three sons, Cecil Walker and wife Laura of Amarillo, Robert Walker and wife Vickie, and Bruce Walker, all of Big Spring; one brother, Garner Thixton of Big Spring; four sisters, Carijo Thixton of Big Spring, Linda McKnight of Lake Austin, Rose Teeler of Big Spring and Tammy Johnson and hubsand Junior of Summerville, S.C.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Orville and Ora Francis (McDaniel) Thixton.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Hope Lodge, 3511 10th Street, Lubbock, TX 79415.
