Marion 'Granny' Bozarth

Marion “Granny” Bozarth, 100, of Big Spring, died Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Lamun-Lusk Sanchez Texas State Veterans Home in Big Spring. The family will receive friends from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born Oct. 29, 1912, in Fort Worth, Texas to Lela and James Williams. She was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during World War II. She lived in Portales, N.M. from 1932 until 1990, before coming to Big Spring. She owned Marion’s Beauty Salon. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by one daughter: Sharon Dedmon of Big Spring.
