Marlyin Elain Jackson Scypion, 49, formerly of Big Spring died April 7, 2013. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 13, 2013, at Rocky Springs Baptist Church, 316 E. Shady Grove, Grand Prairie, Texas. A wake will be held Friday from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Ben Washington Baptist Church, 3901 Frisco Ave., Irving, Texas.

Marlyin was born July 5, 1963, to A.J. and Eloise C Jackson in Big Spring, TX.

She worked for Head Start of Permian Basin in Big Spring for 10 years. She later relocated to Irving, Texas, where she was employed by Head Start of Greater Dallas as a family advocate specialist until her death.

She is survived by her husband, Steven L. Scypion; children, Malachi and Scefenia Clark of Irving, Texas; two granddaughters; siblings, Sean Jackson of Irving, Texas, Ellese LaKay Hickman (Paul) of Waco, Texas, Maria Nelson (Terrence) of Euless, Texas, and Carla Gentry (Will) of Irving, Texas; two uncles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
