Marta Padron, 94, of Big Spring died Thursday, May 23, 2013, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation. Vigil service will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with burial at Coahoma Cemetery.

She was born June 29, 1918, in Gonzales to Bartolita and Ruperto Cruz. She married Florencio Padron on Oct. 26, 1933, in Gonzales. He preceded her in death Sept. 26, 1978. She was a homemaker and a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

She is survived by three sons, Susano Padron and wife Catalina of Coahoma, Carlos Padron and wife Laurie of Waxahachie and Tony Padron of Odessa; four daughters. Lupe Martinez and husband Manuel, Mary Cunningham and husband Gary and Delia Salazar, all of Coahoma, and Julie Hernandez and husband Chris of Fort Worth; 32 grandchildren; 60 great-grandchildren; and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter-in-law, Josie Padron; and a son-in-law, Ramiro Salazar.
