Martha Grant

Martha Grant, 86, of Big Spring, formerly of Fort Worth died Saturday, Dec. 10, 2011, at Scenic Mountain Medical Center. Private family memorial services will be held at a later date at D.F.W. National Cemetery.

She was born May 31, 1925, in Forth Worth, Tarrant County, Texas, to Ella (McCaskill) Lusk and John Franklin Lusk. She married Forrest Grey Grant Jr. on May 16, 1947. He preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1997.

She retired from Fort Worth ISD as registrar at North Side High School. She was a lifetime resident of Fort Worth until coming to Big Spring in 2006. She was a member of 1st Presbyterian of Fort Worth.

She is survived by her son, John W. Grant and daughter-in-law, Cindy G. Grant, of Big Spring; one grandson, Russell G. Grant of Midland; and granddaughter, Amy R. Grant of Dallas.

The family suggests memorials to Boy Scouts of America Buffalo Trail Council, 1101 W. Texas Avenue, Midland, TX 79701.
