Martha Lee Schwab, 82, of Big Spring, Texas, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

She was born March 7, 1931 in Hinton, Okla., and married Carl Schwab Feb. 12, 1985 in Big Spring. He preceded her in death March 11, 2004.

Martha was a very loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed and cherished every moment she spent with her family. Martha has been a part of the Big Spring community for several decades.

She is survived by four sons, Kenneth Jones and wife, Pearl of Malvern, Ark., Melvin Jones and Jerry Jones and wife, Dianne, all of Big Spring, and Nathan Cahoon of El Paso Texas; three daughters, Debbie Davis Thompson and husband, Joe and Denise Huitt and husband, Quert, all of Big Spring, and Sarah Tyrrell and husband, Tommy of San Angelo, Texas; three brothers, Leonard Christian and wife, Barbara of Eatonton, Ga., C.W. Christian and wife, Angie of Las Cruces, N.M., and Johnny Christian and wife, Peggy of Big Spring; one sister, Sandra Seidenthaler of Prescott, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sharon Jones; one son, Ricky Jones Christian and two brothers, Ted Christian and Andrew Christian.
