Martin Diaz, 59, of Fort Worth formerly of Big Spring died Tuesday Dec. 4, 2012. Vigil services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at Myers & Smith Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Myers & Smith Chapel with burial at Mount Olive Memorial Park.

He was born Oct. 9, 1953, in Big Spring to Benita and Gumersindo Diaz. He lived most of his life in Big Spring and later moving to Fort Worth. He worked most of his life in road and general construction. He was a Catholic.

He is survived by four sons, Martin Diaz Jr., Gomezindo Diaz, Ysidro Diaz and Hector Diaz, all of Big Spring; and three brothers, Ted Diaz of Big Spring, David Marquez and his wife Ramona of San Angelo and Benito Diaz of Holland. Mich. He is also survived by two sisters, Guadalupe Ramirez and husband Gilbert of Fort Worth, Irene Lara and husband Juan Trevino of Lubbock; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Gomezindo Diaz Jr., Felitee Diaz and Daniel Marquez Jr.
