Marty Lane Nixon

Marty Lane Nixon of Denton, Texas, passed away at his residence after a long illness Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012. He was 47 years old.

Marty was born Sept. 8, 1964, in Big Spring, Texas. He enjoyed cooking, working in the yard and building things.

A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10, 2012, at Denton Funeral Home. A graveside service will directly follow at 3:30 p.m. at Sanger Cemetery in Sanger, Texas.

Survivors include his mother, Faye Jacobson of Denton; son, Justin Michael Nixon of Denton; twin brother, Michael Shane Nixon of Denton; brothers, David Buchanan of Big Spring, Texas, and Joseph Patrick Nixon Jr. of Allen, Texas; sister, Teresa Mehmken of Parker, Texas; and numerous nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Patrick Nixon.

Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
