Mary Bernice 'Bun' Cason

Mary Bernice "Bun" Cason, 93, of Big Spring, died Sunday, May 19, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 23, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Bill Ivins, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at the funeral home.

Bernice was born Aug. 10, 1919, in Durant, Okla. She worked for the USDA Soil Conservation Service for 69 years. She was a member of the Big Spring Genealogical Society and was an outstanding artist.

She was as a member of First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include one brother, W. L. "Sam" Cason of Big Spring; several cousins; and a host of friends.
Bernice was preceded in death by her parents, William Lawrence Sr. and Ethyl Louise (Taylor) Cason; two sisters, Nina Vickery and Loraine Cason; and a nephew, Kenton Cason Vickery.

The family suggests memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, P. O. Drawer 1229, Big Spring, TX 79721-1229.
