Mary F. Burt, 87, of Big Spring died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at the Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Cotton officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

She was born Nov. 7, 1925, in Snyder, Texas, and married Jimmy G. Burt on Feb. 28, 1946, in Snyder, Texas. He preceded her in death Nov. 23, 2009.

Mary moved to Big Spring in 1960. She had worked as a key punch operator for civil service and as a secretary for Pat Gray's Body Shop. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.

Survivors include her son, Scott Burt and wife Debbie of Big Spring; her daughter, Dawn Faulkner and husband Randy of Waco; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Eileen Stringer of Temple and Cloma Teaff of Amarillo; and one brother, Bill Sheid of Abilene.

She was also preceded in death by one sister, Faye Crawford; and two brothers, Gerald Sheid and J.O. Sheid Jr.

The family suggests memorials be made to Trinity Baptist Church Missions Fund, P.O. Box 1448, Big Spring, TX 79721-1448.
