Mary Hall Jennings, 65, of Big Spring, died Monday, May 5, 2014, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 9, 2014, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the funeral home.
She was born July 15, 1948, in Big Spring, Texas and married W.B. "Bill" Jennings Oct. 5, 1974, in Fluvanna, Texas. He preceded her in death November 19, 2008.

A lifetime resident of Big Spring, Mary graduated from Big Spring High School in 1966. She had worked as a dispatcher for the Big Spring Police Department; worked at the Big Spring State Hospital and worked for Big Spring ISD for more than 25 years, first as a teacher's aide at Kentwood before moving to the district office. She recently worked as a bookkeeper for Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.

Mary was a member of First United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Shane Forrest and Dorothy Upton of Big Spring and Joel Jennings and wife, Kari of Hillsborough, N.C.; one grandson, Joshua Forrest of Kingsbay, Ga.; two granddaughters, Samantha Jennings and Ryan Jennings, both of Hillsborough, N.C.; one great-grandson, Landon Ulysses Forrest; and one brother, Marvin Hall and wife, Deryl Ann Hall of San Angelo.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses Hall and Evelyn Hall Burchett.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hope Lodge, 3511 10th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79415.
