Mary Jones Hoover, 84, died July 9, 2012, in Iowa Park, Texas. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, At Johnson Funeral Home in Childress, Texas. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, at Trinity Worship Center in Childress, with the Rev. Ronnie Shoffner officiating. Burial will be in Northfield Cemetery.

Mary Alice was born June 20, 1928, in Fry, Texas, to Samuel and Elizabeth Aldredge Jones. She was a homemaker, but through the years worked for Lancer Mobile Homes and Royal Park Fashion in Childress. She also held membership in the VFW Auxillary.

Years ago, she was a member of Northfield Church of Christ but recently attended First Assembly of God in Iowa Park.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Rayworth “Bub” Hoover, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Survivors include four sons, Bruce Hoover and wife Tammy of Iowa Park, Curtis Hoover and wife Dale of Canyon, Dennis Hoover and wife Carolyn of Springtown and James Hoover and wife Linda of Big Spring; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-granchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
