Mary Nell 'Molly' Butler

Mary Nell "Molly" Butler, 83, of Tyler, formerly of Big Spring died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, in a Tyler hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park with Chaplain Rick Foster officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013, at the funeral home.

She was born June 24, 1929, in Houston, Texas, and married Dr. Lee Butler on April 28, 1950, in Houston. He preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1997.

Molly was a registered nurse and had worked as the Director of Nursing at Big Spring State Hospital. She was a member of Hampton Road Baptist Church in DeSoto, Texas.

Survivors include two sons, Tommy Butler and wife Vickie of Whitehouse and Terry Butler and wife Wanda of Frisco; one daughter, Janie Strader of Houston; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be made to Hampton Road Baptist Church, Missionary Fund, 400 N. Hampton Rd., DeSoto, Texas 75115.
