Mary Spraberry

Mary Spraberry, 77, died Friday, Dec. 27, 2013, at San Angelo Community Hospital. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Life Church with Kevin Knudson officiating. Burial will be at Trinity Memorial Park.
She was born Nov. 28, 1936, in Dew, Texas, to Jewell and Charlie Grant. Mary married Wallace Spraberry on June 25, 1953, in Clovis, N.M. They moved to Big Spring in 1961 from Floydada. She worked at Walls Industries for more than 20 years, retiring in 1998. Mary collected hundreds of stuffed teddy bears, but her main hobby was grandchildren and later her great-grandchildren. She was a member of Life Church where she was known at “the dessert woman” or “cake lady.”
She is survived by her husband, Wallace Spraberry of Big Spring; two daughters, Rhonda Sanders and her husband Randy, and Sherre Davis and her husband Robby, all of Big Spring; grandchildren, Joshua Jones and his wife Christy, Stephanie Bissonnette and her husband Joe, Michael Carr and his wife Rose, Ashley Keener, Sherrean Jones, Garry Keener and his wife Cristi, and Sloan Davis; 32 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Stanley Grant and his wife Levine of Waco, David Grant and his wife Brenda of Oklahoma and Larry Grant of Tyler; and two sisters, Wanda Fuller of Indiana and Velma Haaland and her husband Bud of Montana.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Pallbearers will be Josh Jones, Michael Carr, Garry Keener, Joe Bissonnette, Peyton Sedberry and Sterline Hohensee.
