Mary Virginia Womack, 88, of Coahoma, jumped into the arms of Jesus September 30, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, Oct. 4, 2013 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Monroe Teeters officiating. Interment will follow at Coahoma Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013, at the funeral home.
She served as a cafeteria supervisor for Coahoma ISD from 1958 to1988. She also volunteered at her beloved church Salem Baptist and in the community where she received recognition for 30 years of service to Big Spring State Hospital.
Besides taking care of others she was best known for her cooking, especially those delicious cinnamon rolls and deer cutlets. She was an avid deer hunter.
She is survived by her son, Rick Womack (Paula) and daughter, Judy Mize (Jim) as well as her very special grandson, Ronnie Covert (Tessa) and their children, Alix and Cass, and her special grandson, Jacob Womack. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Jean, Kenneth (Shirley), Bob (Lisa), and Billy Bob (Marion). She is survived by many other much loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband J. P. âPeteâ Womack and step son, James.
