Mike Colclazer, 60, of Big Spring died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, in a Brady hospital. Graveside funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2012, at the Peace Chapel at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at the funeral home.

Mike was born June 30, 1952, in Hamlin, Texas, and grew up in Snyder and Big Spring. He graduated from Big Spring High School in 1970 and received an associate of arts in communication from Howard College. Mike was an accomplished musician and worked in the oil and gas industry for 35 years.

Survivors include a daughter, Kelcey Edwards of Brady; two sisters, Virginia Hedges of Converse and Cheryl Hedlund and husband Andy of Lubbock; three grandchildren; four nieces; and one nephew.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.V. and Nelda Colclazer.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kan. 66675.
