Mildred Vaughn

Mildred Vaughn, 96, of Big Spring, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2013, in a Mansfield, Texas nursing home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, 2013, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Rosewood Chapel with the Rev. Ken McIntosh officiating. Interment will follow at Trinity Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, at the Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home.
Mildred was born Oct. 5, 1917 in Stamford, Texas and married Doyle Vaughn Sept. 15, 1934 in Midland. He preceded her in death April 12, 2005. She moved to Big Spring as a child. She and Doyle owned and operated Vaughn's Bakery from 1937 until 1973, when they retired.

She is survived by one son, Butch Vaughn and wife, Carolyn of Mansfield; one daughter, Beverly Kay of San Antonio; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, H.E. and Frankie Ruth (Parr) Tynes.
