Mina McCullough

Mina McCullough, 85, of Big Spring died Monday, June 11, 2012, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Sweetwater Cemetery.

She was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Sweetwater, Texas, to Frances and Fred Penton. She grew up in Sweetwater and graduated from Sweetwater High School. She came to Big Spring in 1944. She worked at the Veterans Administration Medical Center until retiring. She was a Baptist.

She is survived by three sons, Rawleigh McCullough and wife Carlla, Rocky McCullough and Rick McCullough, all of Big Spring; one daughter, Jackie Cigainero and husband Craig of Texarkana, Ark.; one brother, Jesse Penton of Sweetwater; one sister-in-law, Narvelle Penton of Sweetwater; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
