Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 4, 2011, Modehn Wyatt, 94, stepped into the loving arms of her heavenly father. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home with Pastor Ken McMeans officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. at Littlefield Cemetery in Littlefield, Texas.

She was born Dec. 5, 1916, in Jefferson County, Okla., to Jennie and William Mack Williams. She married Ruel Cleo Wyatt on Dec. 23, 1934 in Portales, N.M. She and Ruel farmed in Morton and Littlefield, Texas. They had two daughters, Ruelene and Jeanette. He preceded her in death in April 1954.

She moved to Big Spring in 1956 and worked for Safeway for many years.
She loved her Lord, family and friends. She loved attending church, especially Sunday School. She was an avid 80 domino player for many years. She enjoyed her many vacations with friends and family. Her friends and family grieve at her passing and yet we remember “Earth holds no treasures, but perish with using, and nothing earthly can last.”

She is survived by two daughters, Ruelene Porter and husband Bennie of Big Spring and Jeannette Phillips and husband Jerry of Woodward, Okla; grandchildren, Jana Porter of Andrews, Texas, Nancy Sink and husband David of Big Spring, Shannon Deweese and husband Steven of Woodward, Okla., Jerry Phillips, Jr. of Salt Lake City, Utah and Amanda Flewellen of Pueblo, Colo.; great-grandchildren include Weldon Gibbs and wife Francesca, Heather Vaughan of Big Spring, Paden Black and Mylia Black of Big Spring, Sarah and Seth Deweese of Woodward, Okla., and Elston and Stephanie Phillips of Minneapolis, Minn. She is survived by three great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her special nephew and nieces, Don Williams, Joy Hester and Maxine Wright.

The family will be at 3223 Duke Avenue, Big Spring, Texas.
