Murphy Allen Woodson

Murphy Allen Woodson, 76, was born Dec. 21, 1935, in Coahoma, Texas, and died July 14, 2012, in San Antonio, Texas.
He had chosen to be cremated.
He graduated from Coahoma High School, attended Howard College for one year and attended Tennessee Temple College, graduating in 1957.
Following summer classes from Baylor University he taught school for three years. In 1963, he joined the Air Force serving 21 years as a flying AWACS radar officer, retiring as a major in 1984.
Survivors include a son, Randall Alan Woodson of New Hampshire; one daughter, Julianne Woodson of Austin; four sisters, Katherine Roberts of Odessa, Texas; Velma R. Wood; Margie R. Hill; Darla D. Swindell of Big Spring; one brother, Fredrick P. Woodson of Calabasas, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Futhie Presley and Rosa Lillian Woodson, one sister Freddye Britton, three brothers, Walter N., W. Paul, Futhie M. Woodson and countless nieces and nephews.
