Nancy Fulgham, 73, of Big Spring died Sunday, May 04, 2014, at Parkview Nursing and Rehabilitation. The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Myers & Smith Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Myers & Smith Chapel with the Rev. Tom Finnie of All Saints Anglican Church of Midland officiating.
Nancy was born to Louise and Luther M. Cunningham on March 15, 1941, in Big Spring, Texas. Nancy graduated from Big Spring High School in 1959, and then she married Roe Fulgham on Jan. 20, 1959. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Angelo State University and a Masters degree from Sul Ross State University. Nancy taught school in Drew, Miss., Greenwood/Midland, Texas and in Big Spring, Texas. She was also a librarian at Goliad and Runnels in Big Spring for three years.
Nancy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Roe Fulgham; three children, Angela and her husband Kris Watts of Grapevine, Kenny Fulgham and his wife Jarry of Big Spring and Natalie Rice of Big Spring; seven grandchildren, Tisha York, Craig Buck, Chris Buck, Duane Fulgham, Brandi Havner, Shelby Knott and Kevin Knott; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister, Linda Cunningham Beckwith of Big Spring.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Big Spring Area Retired Teachers Association Book Fund, c/o Bill Schaffner, 2501 Central, Big Spring, Texas 79720.
