No arrests in Sand Springs shooting death

SAND SPRINGS — Howard County Sheriff's deputies continue investigating a shooting Saturday morning which took the life of a 50-year-old man here.

Deputies, who have been interviewing witnesses, are waiting on autopsy results from the body of Bobby Reed, who was sent to Lubbock following the shooting.

Sheriff Stan Parker old KBYG News Sunday evening investigators "are still working up the case" and its details, and that once his office receives the preliminary autopsy results they will present the case to the district attorney. Parker aid they hope to have information completed by early in the week. A check with Parker this morning by the Herald revealed nothing new in the case.

According to reports, at 2:30 a.m. Saturday, deputies were advised of an assault at 8705 Gillem Road in Sand Springs. When they arrived on the scene, investigators found that the 50-year-old Reed had died of a gunshot wound.
