Nominations due now for Man, Woman of Year

January 6, 2012

Nominations for Man and Woman of the Year are being accepted through Monday at the Big Spring Area Chamber of Commerce.

The Man and Woman of the Year will be announced during the annual Chamber banquet Jan. 31. Any member of the Chamber can make a nomination, but it must be submitted in written form.

All nominations will need to be approved by the selection committee in order to ensure the relevant information is received about the nominee.

“The winner will be chosen based on all around contributions to the community not just for extraordinary performance in the person's businesses or employment,” Chamber Executive Director Debbye ValVerde said. A consistent track record of contributions to the community is recommended for the nominee. Those holding a political office are not eligible for nomination.
